SeaNet's Inmarsat BHSD (B High-Speed Data) link communication costs range from $4.90-$10.20/minute based on which provider is used and whether the transmission occurs during peak or off-peak hours. The throughput and hence cost per byte can vary based on the quality of the link connection and the volume of data that is transferred. Typically, the more data transferred per call will result in a higher throughput and a less cost per byte. Other cost factors include how often transfers are done and the size of the data transfers.

Typical batch transfer sizes for BHSD range from tens of kilobytes to around five megabytes of compressed data. Note that actual transmissions times can vary substantially and that the bytes referenced in the table below are compressed.
